GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Grace Forrest earned All-American status by virtue of her fifth-place finish in the 3,000-meter race walk as part of Friday's action in the 2025 U.S. Marines NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship, hosted by the Gainesville Sports Commission at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center at Celebration Pointe.
Forrest, a redshirt junior from Woodstock, Ohio, posted a time of 14:42.00.
The top eight finishers were named All-Americans.
Rio Grande had one other representative who competed on Friday.
Sophomore Laura Hamm (South Point, OH) finished 14th in 800-meter run preliminaries with a time of 2:19.12 - under the school record in the event again - but failed to qualify for the final.
"Laura made a heck of a go at," said Rio Grande head coach Matt Paxton. "She was seeded near the back and actually made a run at the lead in her heat."
