The University of Rio Grande Bass Fishing Team finished 12th among a field of 51 schools and nearly 600 individuals in the Annual Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series Berkley Fishing Big Bass Bash.

The duo of Cody Brumfield and Alex McCarty (left) became the first-ever tournament champions for Rio Grande Fishing at the Karl's Fishing & Outdoors event in mid-August in Sandusky, Ohio. Austin Shields and Kayleigh Osborne (right) took sixth place and won the Big Bass Award at the same tournament.
