Rio pair bounced from national tourney

     PARK CITY, Kan. - Both representatives from the University of Rio Grande picked up a victory in Thursday's action before being eliminated from the 68th Annual NAIA Men's Wrestling National Championships hosted by Visit Wichita, at Park City Arena.
     In the 165-pound bracket, senior Mitchell Freeman (Point Pleasant, WV) began his day with a 16-5 major decision loss at the hands of top-seeded Jonathan Kervin of Indiana Tech before rebounding with a win by fall at 6:27 of his consolation bracket match with Nathan Napolitano from Reinhardt (Ga.) University.
     Freeman (14-19) was ousted in the consolation second round, dropping a 5-0 decision to Angel Hernandez of Keiser (Fla.) University.
     Junior Justin Bartee (Point Pleasant, WV) was pinned at 1:33 of his first round match in the 184-pound division by third-seeded Tyson Beauperthuy of Doane (Neb.) University.
     Bartee (20-16) then won by fall at 2:54 of his match with Marian University's Jordan Fulks before being eliminated when he was pinned by Adrian Chavez-Morales from Southern Oregon at 2:27 of their second round consolation bout.
